The main focus is on building server-side Java applications, although client aspects such as applets and GUI programming with the JDK Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT) are also covered. Programming is an important aspect of this course. Students will spend about 50% of the time working on lesson-specific programming exercises, as well as a real-world development case that will run throughout the course.
