10. Tips, Tricks and Gotchas

Always use at least a <para> element to delineate your text. Some browsers in particular Netscape can fall back to the default font (styles).

Tables and list take space by themselves. This issue is related to the "Never use untagged text". If you have text around for example a table, put those text elements in a <para>, but not surround the table with para. Again Netscape gets upset and you may see the e.g. the indentation being lost.
